Mozambique: Motorists pay homage to those killed in demonstrations - AIM

The President of the Republic, Daniel Francisco Chapo, will participate this Thursday in the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of SADC, taking place in Harare, in the Republic of Zimbabwe.
The meeting will assess the security situation in the eastern par of the Democratic Republic of Congo, in view of the recent escalation of violence in the province of Goma, as well as obtain information on the SADC Mission in the DRC.
A statement from the Presidency of the Republic indicates that the Heads of State and Government will also deliberate on the measures to be implemented with a view to re-establishing peace and stability in that region.

The SADC is a regional economic community of 16 member states, including the DRC. The other members are Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia.
