Mozambique: Chapo calls on district administrators to innovate and be sensitive to suffering

President Filipe Nyusi today appointed Manuel José Gonçalves to the post of Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique, the Presidency announced in a statement.
Manuel José Gonçalves replaces Pedro Comissário, appointed in September to the post of ambassador and permanent representative of the country to the United Nations.
Up until his appointment, Manuel José Gonçalves served as Chief of Staff to the State Protocol Office.The newly appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs also held the position of Mozambican ambassador to Ethiopia, in 2018.
