Mozambique: President appoints INGD leaders

President Nyusi, by dint of powers conferred on him by Number 1 of Article 8 of Presidential Decree number 41/2020 of 28 December, appointed, by presidential dispatch, Luísa Celma Caetano Meque to the position of President of the National Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction[ Instituto Nacional de Gestão e Redução do Risco de Desastres ](INGD).
The INGD replaces the National Institute for Disaster Management (INGC).
In another legal provision, the Mozambican Head of State also appointed, by presidential dispatch, Gabriel Belém Monteiro, to the post of vice president of the National Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction (INGD).
