Mozambique: President appoints Eigénio Mussa Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces

The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, has appointed Eugénio Ussene Mussa to the post of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Defence of Mozambique by Presidential Dispatch. Eugénio Ussene Mussa was also promoted to the rank of General of the Army, again by Presidential Dispatch.
In another Presidential Order, the Head of State appointed Bertolino Jeremias Capitine to the post of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Defence of Mozambique, also promoting him to the rank of Lieutenant General.
Prior to his appointment to the post, General Mussa was Commander of the Civic Service of Mozambique.
The former Chief of the General Staff was General Lázaro Henriques Menete, who was dismissed from the post by Presidential Order.
