Mozambique: Power outage in Manhiça

Around 12,000 EDM customers in Manhiça district, Maputo province, have been without electricity since Wednesday afternoon, due to an “anomaly” in the Muhalaze-Manhiça line.
“As soon as the incident was registered, EDM technical teams were deployed to restore the normal supply of electricity to the affected areas. However, due to the severity of the incident EDM must replace the damaged equipment by a new one, which may further delay restoring power supply, ” reads a note from power utility Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) sent to“ Notícias ”
