The water supply in some parts of the Maputo metropolitan area remain restricted due to a fault in the medium voltage power line feeding the Sábiè Water Treatment Station in Moamba district.
As a result, low water pressure in the distribution network has resulted in water shortages in the affected areas.
A statement from Águas da Região Metropolitana de Maputo (AdRMM) explains that the situation directly affects Guava in Marracuene municipality, and Tsalala, Intaka, Matlhemele and Machava in Matola.
AdRMM however guarantees that teams on the ground are working hard to speedily rectify the matter.
