The Museu dos Caminhos de Ferro, located in Maputo Central Railway Station, has inaugurated a temporary exhibition recording the 120 years of the Port of Maputo.
The exhibition reflects the various phases of the construction process of the Port of Maputo, from the beginning of the construction of the port at the end of the 19th century, passing through the inauguration of the Gorjão pier to the present day, a note from CFM sent to our newspaper reads.
The exhibition, a joint initiative between CFM and the Maputo Port Development Society (MPDC), is displayed alongside the passenger boarding and disembarking platform, and can be visited every day.
Still within the framework of celebrations of the Port of Maputo’s 120-year history, the President of the Republic this Monday inaugurated a 75-ton tugboat.
