Mozambique police seizes 907 pieces of rhino horn

The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) last week seized 907 rhino horns and rhino horn parts, a statement sent yesterday to Lusa by the corporation reports.
The statement, which does not reveal the details of the seizures, adds that the rhino horns weigh 22 kilograms in total.
Mozambique is an important transit point for rhino horns taken from animals slaughtered illegally in the Kruger Park, South Africa, bordering Mozambique, where this species has been decimated in recent decades.
