Mozambique: Coral Sul exports 100th shipment of gas

The public company Petróleos de Moçambique (PETROMOC) has sold 20% of its shares in the company Maputo International Airport Fuelling Services Limitada (MIAFS) to I2A Investimentos e Participações, SA. The transaction was confirmed a few days ago by the Competition Regulatory Authority (ARC).
MIAFS is a commercial company whose purpose is to operate depots for the supply of jet fuel, operate the hydration line, design and build fuel storage depots and provide aircraft refuelling services at Maputo International Airport.
Its activities include the management of pipelines and other equipment, the reception and dispatch of aviation fuel to end consumers, as well as the import and export of materials, equipment and other accessories necessary for the development of its activities.
Prior to this sale, MIAFS was wholly owned by PETROMOC, in breach of the Competition Law No. 10/2013, of April 11, according to the ARC.

I2A Investimentos is a commercial company under Mozambican law, 100% owned by Mozambican shareholders, focused on the storage and marketing of liquid and solid bulk, and is authorized to distribute petroleum products (fuels) through Distribution License No. 02/19, of February 27, 2019, issued by the National Directorate of Hydrocarbons and Fuels.
PETROMOC is a public limited company, incorporated in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mozambique, which is dedicated to the transportation, distribution, reception, handling, storage, bunkers, transit, export, re-export, transformation and marketing of petroleum products. It is owned by the Mozambican state, the Institute for the Management of State Shareholdings (IGEPE) and the managers, technicians and workers in the proportion of 60%, 20% and 20%, respectively.
