The Mozambique Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 in Osaka, Japan, has reached the milestone of one million visitors since its opening on April 13.
When Yoshimi Shibayama, a native of Kyoto, Japan, visited the Mozambican exhibition, along with the more than 2,000 people who visit every day, she did not expect to leave with the title of visitor number one million.
“When I decided to come to the Expo today, I did not know that I would visit the Mozambique Pavilion, but I was curious and decided to go in. I am pleased to be a special visitor. I am surprised,” said Yoshimi Shibayama.
Yoshimi received a symbolic award for the milestone. For the organizers, receiving one million visitors in two months in the Mozambique Pavilion increases the responsibility of its entire team in promoting the country’s image.
Mozambique exhibits technological initiatives and expects to reach three million visitors by the end of the Expo 2025 Osaka on October 13, 2025.
