Mozambique: Cholera infects almost 1,000 in Nampula province since October

A fire that broke out in the Munhava substation of Beira city in the early hours of this Saturday (June 17) has left several Beira neighbourhoods with electricity.
Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), says in a statement issued on the morning of Saturday that the fire has now been brought under control and EDM technical teams are working on the site to restore normal energy supply as soon as possible.
This incident left more than 160,000 EDM customers without electricity.
Beira Central Hospital and Beira have been connected to the power grid viaan alternative power source, according to the EDM press release.
The neighbourhoods affected are: Chaimite, Maquinino, Esturro, Macurungo, Pioneiros, Matacuane, Palmeiras 1 and 2, Massamba, Muchatazina, Nhamudima, Espangara, Goto, Estoril, Chota, Manga Loforte, Z. Industrial, Vaz and Ndunda
