Ecobank completes Mozambique exit, hands over to Malawi’s FDH Bank in regional strategy shift

Chinese company Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd will help Mozambique further develop its ICT industry. A partnership was signed in that regard between the company and the Mozambican Minister of Transport and Communications Janfar Abdulai (pictured) on November 9.
This follows the publication of the results of Huawei’s “Seeds for the Future” training program, which benefited 50 young people. During this training, they acquired knowledge in various fields, including fifth-generation wireless telecommunications technology, the LTE wireless broadband communication standard, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, etc.
The signing of the partnership between Huawei and Mozambique comes at a time when several African countries are accelerating their digital transformation. For this country, Huawei’s expertise would benefit it in various strategic areas such as infrastructure, training, technology, etc.
