A delegation led by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula, is in Lisbon where it has been participating, since Wednesday (28-02), in the Lisbon Travel Market International Fair (BTL-2024), the largest fair of its kind in Portugal, which closes on Saturday.
On the opening day, the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa toured several pavilions, passing through dozens of stands.
Eldevina Materula accompanied the Portuguese president, passing by the Mozambique stand, where he was received by the delegation made up of 12 companies and public and private institutions.
Minister Materula said that Mozambique’s objective at the event is to extend its contacts with the world in terms of tourism, establish business links and promote the Economic Acceleration Measures (PAE), which includes visa exemptions for 29 countries, including Portugal, currently the largest source of tourists for Mozambique.
BTL is an annual event in which the first three days are dedicated to professionals in the field and the remaining two to the general public.
