Zimbabwe begins inventory of historical sites in Mozambique

Mozambique’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Oldemiro Júlio Marques Baloi, has died in South Africa at the age of 66.
On 22 February of this year, Oldemiro Balói was transferred to a hospital in South Africa for the treatment of an illness
Baloi served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation from 2008 to 2017.
Hei had previously served as deputy minister in the same Ministry in the early 1990s.
Oldemiro Balói had also served as Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, from 1994 to 1999.
He had worked at Banco Internacional de Moçambique (Millennium BIM), where he was a member of the executive board.
In 1994, he obtained a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from the University of London (SOAS).
He held a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Eduardo Mondlane University, and attended the Geographic Engineering course at the same university from 1979 to 1980.
Baloi had also worked as a mathematics teacher at the Escola Secundária Josina Machel from 1977 to 1982.
He was born on April 9, 1955, in the city of Maputo.
