The President of the Republic this Monday inaugurated the Mapinhane Integrated Technology Transfer Centre in Inhambane province, saying on the occasion, that, as strategic partners, the private sector and partners must observe good infrastructure and business management practices.
According to the President of the Republic, the Mapinhane Centre is an unequivocal demonstration that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is working effectively.
The project, whose objective is productive inclusion through access to technical assistance, transfer of technologies, inputs and promotion of inclusive businesses in rural communities, has had financial and technical support from the Austrian government and will be assisted by the African Development Bank and the Arab Fund, with whom negotiations for the construction of 40 further such centres are underway.
Nyusi also highlighted the importance of cooperation for the development and success of future projects. “Austria took the province of Sofala and Inhambane, but other friends will take others province, and that way we will be able to move forward,” he noted.
