The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, is this Friday in the district of Moatize, Tete province, attending the VIII National Meeting of District Administrators, which takes place under the motto “For an Inclusive and Transparent Governance, for Local Development”.
The meeting is promoted by the Ministry of State Administration and Public Service and attended by district administrators from all over the country, along with Ministry staff, cooperation partners and other guests.
The event aims to share experiences and approaches put into practice in the districts, given the challenges imposed by decentralization and the new norms for the management of state human resources.
A communiqué received by Radio Mozambique adds that the meeting will improve coordination between local bodies, strategic planning, combating corruption, territorial planning and ordering, plus emergency issues within the scope of the Covid-19 pandemic and other matters of governance.
President Nyusi is accompanied on his visit by the Minister of State Administration and Public Service, Ana Comoane, and by staff of the Presidency of the Republic and other state institutions.
