President of the Republic Filipe Jacinto Nyusi on Friday (10-01) delivered 15 houses to former liberation fighters with profound disabilities in Mueda, Cabo Delgado province.
Speaking at the hand-over ceremony, Nyusi said that the delivery of the houses “represents the tangible expression of gratitude of a people towards their heroes”.
The process of building and delivering houses to liberation fighters is a government action, implemented by the Ministry of Combatants.
Minister of Combatants Josefina Mpelo said the delivery of houses would “guarantee dignity, comfort and security to fighters with disabilities and, above all, strengthen justice and social inclusion”.
The 15 houses in Mueda join 19 others built in 2020 in Marracuene, Maputo province.
