Mozambique: Nyusi congratulates Trump on US election win

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, followed with great interest the US presidential elections of 5 November. In a message published on his Facebook account, Nyusi recalls that the United States of America is “a strategic cooperation partner of the country”.
Below is the message from the President of Mozambique to President-elect Donald Trump.
“Your Excellency Mr President;
“I followed the electoral process in the USA with great interest.
“The USA is a strategic cooperation partner of the Republic of Mozambique, whose relations between its peoples date back to before our own independence in 1975.
“Having learned with satisfaction of your election as the 47th President of the USA, on behalf of the People, the Government of the Republic of Mozambique and in myself, I address our warm congratulations to Your Excellency and to the American People for the peaceful, fair, orderly and transparent election.
“Your significant victory demonstrates the confidence that the American people have in your ability and commitment to achieving their aspirations and your own promise to build a strong, secure and prosperous America.
“While I wish you good health and a successful term in the performance of your noble duties, I and the government of Mozambique are ready to work with Your Excellency and your Administration to further strengthen the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries and peoples, as well as on multilateral issues of mutual interest.
“Please accept, Your Excellency Mr President, the assurances of my highest consideration and personal esteem.”
