Mozambique: Nyusi congratulates beach volleyball pairs

President Filipe Nyusi on Tuesday afternoon, January 24, sent a congratulatory message to the Mozambican delegation which participated in the Zone VI Beach Volleyball Tour in Durban, South Africa.
Ana Paula Sinaportar and Vanessa Muianga won first place and the gold medal in the women’s category, while Ainadino Martinho and Jorge Mondlane won the bronze medal in the men’s category.
Natália Intego and ngela Tembe finished third, while Jorge Mondlane and Osvaldo Mungói finished fourth.
For the Mozambican head of state, this achievement serves as an inspiration for other young sports people to face the challenges that are always present with determination.
Furthermore, this achievement “places the name of Mozambique on the highest pedestal of regional, continental and international beach volleyball”, President Nyusi writes.
The full statement released on the Mozambican head of state’s Facebook page, reads as follows.
“Compatriots
“It is with great pride and satisfaction that I received, once again, the news of the conquest of the first place and consequent gold medal by our women’s beach volleyball duo formed by Ana Paula Sinaportar and Vanessa Muianga, in the Regional Championship of Zone VI recently finished in Durban, South Africa.
“Parallel to this achievement, we also highlight the conquest of the bronze medal by the male duo formed by Ainadino Martinho and Jorge Mondlane.
‘The achievements by our young beach volleyball athletes are the result of hard work, determination and discipline, and place the name of Mozambique on the highest pedestal of regional, continental and international beach volleyball.
“These accomplishments stimulate and inspire other young people and athletes to face with determination the challenges that are always present.
“To the athletes, coaches, FMV, sponsors, go our congratulations and thanks.”
Ana Paula Sinaportar and Vanessa Muianga are six-time Beach Volleyball Vi region champions.
