Mozambique: Government to register 15 million undocumented women

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, arrived in Jordan this morning where he is taking part today and tomorrow, in Amman, in the Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza Conference , being held at the King Hussein bin Talal Conference Center at the Dead Sea.
The participation of the Mozambican Head of State in this conference comes in response to the invitation made jointly by the King of Jordan, Abdullah Al Hussein, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, reads a statement from the Presidency of the Republic quoted by Radio Moçambique.
The ‘Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza’ conference aims to mobilize the international community to respond urgently, collectively and swiftly to provide humanitarian assistance in the face of the humanitarian catastrophe affecting the people of the Gaza Strip and other regions affected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
On this, President Nyusi will be accompanied by the Minister of National Defence, Cristóvão Chume; the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gonçalves; Mozambique’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Pedro Comissário, officials from the Presidency of the Republic and other state institutions.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides also arrived in Amman on Tuesday morning to participate in the conference.
Lebanon’s Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, also arrived in Amman on Monday to participate in the conference and the Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani is expected to arrive on Tuesday.
The guest list also includes Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator Martin Griffiths, as well as leaders of states, heads of governments, and leaders of international humanitarian and relief organizations.
