The Mozambican head of state, Filipe Nyusi, has appointed António Osvaldo Saíde to the post of deputy minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, the Presidency of the Republic announced on Friday (June 10) in a statement.
António Osvaldo Saíde served as chairman of the board of directors of the Energy Fund (FUNAE). He will assume the position left vacant by Augusto Fernando, dismissed by Filipe Nyusi in January 2020.
President Nyusi also appointed Farida Algy Abdula Urci as deputy minister of Health, replacing Lídia Cardoso, who was appointed in March this year to the position of Minister of the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries.
According to the note from the Presidency, Filipe Nyusi further appointed academic Eduardo Alexandre Chiziane as a member of the Superior Council of the Administrative Judiciary.
