Mozambique: Dismissed Vilankulo teachers appeal to the Inhambane Administrative Tribunal

The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 coronavirus infection in Mozambique has risen from five to seven, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday.
“These new cases have mild symptoms and are under home quarantine,” National director of Public Health Rosa Marlene told a press conference at the Ministry of Health in Maputo.
The two new cases are both men over the age of 40, one a Mozambican and one not, both of whom returned to the country from abroad in the first half of March.
@Verdade further details that one of the new patients is a French national, resident in the City of Maputo, who returned from France in the first half of March and the other ca Mozambican national, resident in the City of Maputo, who returned from a trip to England, in the first half of March.
“Of the total registered cases, six are imported and one is locally transmitted,” Marlene noted.
The seven infected people had contact with a total of 88 people, who are also in home quarantine and being monitored by health authorities.
Dr. Rosa Marlene, cited by @Verdade, also revealed yesterday that “at the level of the National Institute of Health(INS), as of today [Thursday March 26], 98 suspected cases have been tested, of which 21 have been tested in the last 24 hours. Of the new suspected cases tested, 19 were negative and two were positive for the coronavirus ”.
Among the 21 suspected cases tested in the last 24 hours, @Verdade reports, one is a child, the other is a teenager and the rest are adults. According to the same source, the majority of the suspected cases tested are Mozambican citizens and only one had been in contact with a confirmed covid-19 case.
