Noor Momade (Cotur) and Osvaldo Maute (Maute Group) were elected president and vice-president of the CTA’s National Business Council (CEN) on Thursday.
The CEN is a CTA advisory body tasked with advising the Board of Directors on economic matters impacting the private sector and the ongoing reforms aimed at improving the business environment in Mozambique.
The election aims to revitalize the National Business Council, strengthening the representation and voice of the business community in addressing current economic challenges and promoting private sector development.
The new CEN leadership is committed to working in three core areas:
1. Improving the business environment:
2. Giving Business owners a voice:
3. Fostering innovation and cooperation:
The new CEN President, Noor Momade, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized that this new cycle would involve not only those who have assumed leadership roles, but all CTA members.
“The doors will always be open to your contributions, your ideas, and your entrepreneurial spirit. What unites us is stronger than what divides us, and together we will build a stronger CTA, a more competitive economy, and a more prosperous country,” he emphasized.
The CTA president is confident that the CEN will play a fundamental role in promoting Mozambique’s economic and social development, and the CTA is committed to supporting the CEN and working to achieve common goals.
