Mozambique has had no new confirmed cases of Covid-19 for four days. The tally of those infected still stands at eight, and the Ministry of Health is keen to counter any fake news that might misinform people.
Official Ministry of Health figures still enumerate the already known eight cases of Covid-19 in the country, made public last Saturday and still seemingly stationary. Six of the cases are imported, and two are local transmissions, National Director of Public Health Rosa Marlene told a scheduled press conference in Maputo.
All those whom came into contact with the victims remain under observation.
The African continent has a total of 5,255 registered infections, with 173 deaths occurring across all territories.
