A total of 129 Technical and Vocational Education graduates launched into the labour
market today, specifically 76 in the field of accounting, 22 in management, nine in
hospitality (reception and housekeeping), eight in hospitality (restaurants and bars) and 12 tourism guides.
In an atmosphere of great satisfaction demonstrated by the graduates and their parents and guardians, the event marked the completion of a training phase that provides these young people with the confidence to face the labour market and self-employment.
According to Mety Gondola, Secretary of State for Technical and Vocational Education, who presided over the ceremony, the sector sees in these new graduates the potential for solutions to the challenges facing the socio-economic development of the country.
"We expect that your success and performance will prove you worthy, as our challenge lies in continuing to monitor your progress, while also continuing to work to ensure quality education for our youth and access to high-quality learning," said Gondola.
He also addressed the progress of the certification processes for graduates, the training of instructors, and the ongoing infrastructure projects, all of which are being implemented to improve and guarantee the quality of technical and vocational education.
