The president of the Administrative Tribunal Lúcia do Amaral announced that the initiative to create a Court of Auditors would require a large investment, including the creation of infrastructure, training of judges, hiring of support staff and the acquisition of essential goods and services for its operation.
The aim is to more strictly control Mozambican public debt, which grew by 5.2% in 2023 to around €14 billion, more than 70% of gross domestic product (GDP).
