The distinction of these initiatives took place within the scope of the launch ceremony of the first edition of the Platform for Dialogue on the Environment, which takes place under the motto ‘Conserving Nature is Guaranteeing the Future’.
The platform is a Mozambican government initiative dedicated to promoting dialogue on relevant issues in the sector.
The Deputy Minister for Land and Environment, Fernando de Sousa, who presided over the opening ceremony, remarked that the distinction of these initiatives was recognition of the role that each played in the sustainable exploitation of natural resources or in the defence of the environment on which humans depend.
