More than 8,000 young people could be hired to work on the Mphanda Nkuwa hydroelectric project in Tete province, in its first phase of implementation.
Currently, studies are underway to determine the feasibility of the project – a dam on the Zambezi River in the districts of Marara, Cahora Bassa and Chiúta.
This information was announced this Wednesday by Carlos Yum, Managing Director, Mphanda Nkuwa Hydroelectric Project Implementation Office (GMNK), in an information-sharing session.
