MozParks has begun the year by extending its support to Orfanato Dom Orione, an organization in Maputo dedicated to caring for children with special needs. A donation of 80,200 MZN was raised through a combined effort by MozParks employees and the company, helping the orphanage meet its operational needs and continue its impactful work.
This initiative is part of an ongoing tradition at MozParks, which has proudly supported Orfanato Dom Orione annually as a way to give back to the community.
Orfanato Dom Orione provides specialized care to 40 residents aged 7 to 47 with psychomotor disorders, offering them a safe and nurturing environment. The organization’s support also reaches the broader community, providing monthly food baskets to 50 families with children facing similar challenges.
The orphanage features a dental care room and a physiotherapy center, which not only deliver critical services but also generate income to sustain its operations. With a dedicated team of 34 staff members, Orfanato Dom Orione plays a vital role in improving the lives of those it serves.
MozParks is proud to have partnered with its team to make this contribution, reflecting its commitment to building a stronger and more inclusive community.
