Mozambique: GEF to disburse 4.8 million dollars for e-waste management

In Gaza province, poor quality of work is forcing the demolition of more than forty homes built for the resettlement of families living in Limpopo National Park, Massingir district.
The conventional material Type 2 houses were built in the village of Chitare, but even before they were inhabited they presented enormous cracks, and some had no roofs.
Hélder Feliz, the manager for construction in Limpopo National Park, said that given the gravity of the situation, there was no alternative but to demolish the houses and rebuild tem.
On Tuesday, the Governor of Gaza visited the reconstruction sites and asked the Limpopo National Park authorities to provide transparent management and rational use of available resources to give new impetus to the resettlement process for families still living in the conservation area.
