Mozambique: Attorney General vows to punish rangers involved in illegal logging

The chemical contaminating the water supply in Missaua, Changara district, Tete province, has the potential to cause heart problems.
The chemical is Deltamethrin, a type of insecticide used to combat pests that devastate crops in production fields.

Calisto Duzenta, environmental health officer at the Provincial Health Directorate in Tete, says that consuming the contaminated water, in addition to causing hormonal and behavioural changes, can lead to death.
