Mozambique: Companies want country's image restored, investment

As part of the strengthening of economic cooperation between the Republic of Mozambique and the Republic of Ukraine, the Minister of Economy, Basílio Muhate, received a Business Mission from Ukraine today, whose objective is to prospect for business opportunities in Mozambique, with a focus on the sectors of agriculture, energy, mining, infrastructure and technology.
The mission, which is visiting Mozambique from the 12th to the 16th of February, includes Ukrainian business people with investments in Ukraine and several countries in Europe and America.
The business mission aims to promote business opportunities between the business sectors of the two countries, where they will maintain contacts with local businessmen, share experiences and establish partnerships.
During the hearing, the minister expressed Mozambique’s full willingness to receive new investments, highlighting especially those involving Ukrainian businessmen. Minister Muhate emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to facilitate investment, such as the implementation of electronic visa systems and digital migration.
The minister highlighted the role of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments in Mozambique (APIEX), which provides support and offers detailed information on the areas with the greatest investment potential in the country.
