On behalf of President of the Republic Filipe Nyusi, the Minister in the Presidency for Civil House Affairs, Constantino Alberto Bacela, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the re-elected President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in the city of Ankara on Saturday.
Mozambique’s participation in the event comes in response to the invitation made to that effect by the Turkish President to the Mozambican Head of State, after his victory in the second round of the presidential elections on 28 May.
Constantino Bacela was the bearer of a message from the Mozambican Head of State addressed to the re-elected President Recep Erdogan and the Turkish people, thanking him for the invitation to participate in the ceremony, which constitutes a celebration of vibrant Turkish democracy, and reaffirming Mozambique’s readiness to continue to work on deepening the fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples.
In addition to the inauguration ceremony, Minister Bacela also attended a dinner offered by the recently sworn-in President to his guests, including Heads of State and Government, Presidents of National Assemblies and Government Representatives.
