The Minister of the Interior, Paulo Chachine, led the inauguration ceremony of seven police commissioner officers and one member of the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC), recently appointed to exercise various command, management and leadership functions in the Ministry of the Interior (MINT).
The ceremony took place on Wednesday (12-02) in the social services hall of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (SSPRM) in Maputo.
In his speech, Minister of the Interior Chachine said that the inauguration of the officials aimed to revitalize the management and leadership structures at central and provincial levels, in order to give new dynamism to activities.
According to Chachine, the aim is to ensure better provision of services to citizens, as well as to raise the level of readiness, discipline, grace and poise within the force, in particular and extensively to employees of the various areas of the MINT.
Among those sworn in at the MINT are Fabião Pedro Nhancololo, Commander of the Police Branch of Public Order and Security; Gabriel Consolo Chea, Commander of the Coastal, Lake and River Police Branch; Arnaldo António de Brito Chefo, Provincial Commander of the PRM-City of Maputo; Victor José Raimundo Novela, Provincial Commander of the PRM-Maputo; Beatriz Zacarias Tichala, Provincial Commander of the PRM-Inhambane; Ernesto Timóteo Madungue, Provincial Commander of the PRM-Sofala; Paulik Anafe Uchaca, Provincial Commander of the PRM-Zambézia; and Jordão Afonso Massingue, National Director of Operational Investigation at the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC).
