The city of Beira has sufficient medical supplies respond to possible incidents and demand for services during the festive season ahead.
The guarantee was given to Noticias by the district chief physician, Manuel Seco, who advised that, just a week ago, the sector received a large quantity of the medicines most sought-after at this time.
Seco added that, during the festive season, health teams in the Macurungo, Mascarenhas, Ponta-Gêa, Munhava and Chingussura health units would be reinforced in response to anticipated demand during this period.
These health centres attract particular attention as they routinely receive more patients during the festive season, when traffic accidents, instances of aggression and illnesses related to intense heat and food poisoning increase.
Doctor Seco advised the population to take precautions and refrain from environments or situations that could put their lives at risk.
