The district of Massangena in Gaza province has no immediate solution for terminating its current isolation and restoring road connection with the rest of the province.
According to the authorities, the greatest problem is the still-impossible task of getting on site the equipment needed for contractors to repair the main access route to Massangena district.
The Massangena district administrator, Sancho Humbane, said that the problem was aggravated by the lack of local contractors capable of undertaking the maintenance projects concerned.
Humbane explained that, at the moment, the only effort being made is towards immediate interventions by contractors from outside the district, as soon as the rains subside.
