Articulated buses are already circulating in the greater Maputo metropolitan region. Until Tuesday (16.04), bureaucratic issues prevented them from operating, while thousands of people faced the daily transport crisis.
In all, 20 buses have entered service in this first phase, according to a source linked to the Maputo Metropolitan Agency.
The source said that this public transport will operate on the major routes in greater Maputo, namely Maputo City, Matola, Boane and Marracuene.
The Maputo Metropolitan Agency also said that articulated buses will charge a single fare of 25 meticais.
