TAAG Angola Airlines said this Friday that flight DT 582 Maputo/Luanda, initially scheduled for Wednesday, was postponed for technical reasons, caused by a bee entering one of the dynamic pressure pick-up tubes.
The press release said that during take-off procedures there was a discrepancy in the flight parameter indications between the captain’s and the copilot’s instruments, forcing the crew to interrupt take-off.
According to the statement, the passengers were safely disembarked and accommodated in a hotel unit, and the aircraft was handed over to the maintenance services for repair.
“After the competent technical intervention, the aircraft was deemed airworthy and has made its return flight to Luanda in full safety,” the statement said, in which the Angolan flagship airline said it regretted what had happened and the inconvenience caused to passengers.
