Mozambique: Maputo hospital registers suspected mpox case – Notícias

The José Macamo General Hospital in Maputo detected the first suspected case of mpox over the weekend.
The suspected case was detected in a 35-year-old male patient. living in the Bagamoyo neighbourhood who was admitted to this health unit with symptoms of the disease.
Health authorities say they have already collected samples to determine whether it is, in fact, the disease.
The suspect is hospitalized, in isolation and under observation by the National Institute of Health (INS).
