Mozambique: Man accused of killing three sisters in Vilankulo dies by suspected suicide – report

Just when it was thought that the tragic love story which culminated in the death of three sisters had finally ended, the residents of the city of Vilankulo this morning woke up to yet another sad instalment.

The young man who allegedly set fire to the house and killed his wife and her two sisters, was found unconscious on one of the beaches in Vilankulo.

This morning, the authorities received information that a lifeless body had been found and, when they went to the scene, found that, in fact, it was the young man they had been looking for since Monday. He was unconscious but alive.

The individual was taken to the hospital where he received medical care and regained consciousness, but not to the extent of recognizing anyone.

Despite receiving medical care, his clinical condition worsened, and he finally lost his life in his hospital bed.

A preliminary investigation by the authorities leads them to believe that, after setting fire to his wife’s parents’ house, the young man ingested a poisonous substance, with the intention of taking his own life.
