Mozambique: Lawyers accuse Luanda court of vetoing judiciary mission

Laulane Secondary School was, on Wednesday (31-07), presented with computers by the Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI).
The donation forms part of the bank’s social responsibility position and aims to improve the institution’s stock of digital education tools.
Delivered by the Regional Commercial Director (BCI), Sara Manhiça, the computers were received by School Director Isabel Maiquita in a ceremony attended by the district representative of the education sector, pupils, students, parents, guardians and administrative staff.
“It is a great joy for us, BCI, to be able to contribute to the training process of you students, effective beneficiaries of the computers,” said Sara Manhiça, continuing: “We wish you the best of luck. Make good use of this equipment. On our side, as a bank for all, we will always be available to make our greatest contribution.”
In reply, the school director said: “Computers are very important in the teaching and learning process. Therefore, today is a very important day for us. This material that we are receiving will make students more eager to investigate, do practical classes, and more. We, as a school, are very grateful.”
Laulane Secondary School is located in the Mavota municipal district in the city of Maputo, and has 4,998 students attending secondary school Grades 7 to 10.
