Mozambique: LAM suspends flights due to aircraft breakdowns

Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) suspended all flights scheduled for today due to breakdowns in the company’s four aircraft.

In a statement, to which O País had access, LAM says that the aircraft are under repair and, therefore, all flights will be rescheduled. The company also advances the possibility of them being cancelled.

LAM – Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique informs its esteemed passengers and the general public that due to the unavailability of its four aircraft, as they are undergoing punctual repairs, flights’ rescheduling are taking place today, Monday, December 5, 2022,

The unavailability of the aircraft was verified this morning, which caused constraints to the operation of flights, which is why it was not possible to carry out the scheduled departures.

After realising that intervention on the airplanes requires more time, flights were rescheduled, with the possibility of cancellations occurring, which will be communicated to affected passengers. As the airplanes are put back into operation, the company will communicate accordingly.

LAM sincerely apologizes to passengers for these inconveniences caused due to fleet constraints and makes its contacts available through the numbers 1737 and + 258 839511737 for information on rescheduling flights.

A LAM – Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique comunica aos seus estimados passageiros e ao público em geral que devido à indisponibilidade de suas quatro aeronaves, por estarem em reparação pontual, ocorrem hoje, segunda-feira, dia 5 de Dezembro de 2022, reprogramações dos voos.

A indisponibilidade das aeronaves foi verificada pela manhã de hoje, o que causou constrangimentos à operação dos voos, motivo pelo qual não foi possível efectivar as partidas que estavam previstas.

Após a noção de que a intervenção nas aeronaves requer mais tempo, procedeu-se à remarcação dos voos, havendo ainda a possibilidade de ocorrerem cancelamentos, o que será comunicado aos passageiros afectados. À medida que as aeronaves forem recolocadas em operação, a companhia irá proceder à devida comunicação.

A LAM apresenta as sinceras desculpas aos passageiros por estes inconvenientes causados devido a constrangimentos de frota e coloca à disposição os seus contatos, através dos números 1737 e + 258 839511737 para informações sobre a remarcação dos voos.
