Mozambique Airlines (LAM) has postponed the resumption of flights to Lisbon (Portugal) to 2 June.
The initial date for the planned return to European airspace was 31 March.
LAM Director General João Carlos Pó Jorge explained that the delay was the result of negotiations over berths at Lisbon Airport.
“After months of negotiations, we are only now getting parking lots for the new flights,” he told a press conference in Maputo today.
The national flag carrier last flew to Europe more than a decade ago.
