Passengers on a Mozambique Airlines (LAM) flight to Mozambique scheduled to depart at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday (23) were held up in Lisbon for two days, and were only able to leave on Thursday afternoon.
Lisbon International Airport witnessed “chaos” for two days, without, according to ‘O País’ reporting, prior notification, or any reason being given for the flight carrying 300 passengers not taking place.
The passengers’ nightmare began shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the flight’s scheduled departure time.
Distressed by the uncertainty over when they would be able to travel, passengers were forced to speak out. The response arrived almost two hours later, that is, after 9:00 p.m..
This was not the first, second or third time that LAM passengers were stranded at Lisbon International Airport.
Some of the 300 passengers revealed that, for them to leave Portugal “an alternative flight was needed, which was only made available on Thursday afternoon (25)”.
Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique has promised to clarify the matter “in due course”.
