As part of its social responsibility actions, liquefied natural gas (LNG) fleet operator KARMOL has donated food products to around 800 people in need in the district of Nacala.
KARMOL rolled out its social responsibility action, “Solidarity Christmas and New Year”, in Nacala Porto, Nampula province, on the 23rd of December, in tandem with nine charities operating in the area.
In total, around 800 people, including children and the elderly, received the KARMOL festive season kit consisting of various non-perishable food products, including rice, cooking oil, flour and sugar.
KARMOL representative Ozan Aydemir said on the occasion that “this initiative is developed within the scope of the social responsibility activities that the company has been developing in Nacala district, with the aim of minimising the suffering of the most vulnerable and improving the living conditions of the local population”.
The event was attended by representatives of KARMOL, the National Institute of Social Action (INAS), Electricity of Mozambique (EDM), local government and other entities.
KARMOL has developed the ‘Powership’ project, which aims to provide speedy, reliable and environmentally friendly solutions to the growing energy needs of countries on four continents.
