President Filipe Nyusi said in Finland on Wednesday (16-11), that, with the political situation stable and public and private institutions functioning normally, Mozambique was ready to receive more Finnish investments.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Finnish counterpart, the Mozambican head of state took the opportunity to invite Sauli Niinistö to visit Mozambique as soon as possible.
Filipe Nyusi revealed that during the talks in Helsinki, the two heads of state recognized the excellent conditions of relationships in the bilateral and multilateral spheres, with the caveat that it was now time to do more, especially in economic relations.
This year, the Finnish government has supported Mozambique to the tune of €15 million, of which seven million went to education. Apart from this, Finland has supported Mozambique in combating terrorism and promoting good governance.
Filipe Nyusi began a four-day working visit to Finland on Tuesday, November 15, with the fight against terrorism and the issue of climate change on the agenda.

It was a pleasure to receive President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique to Finland. We discussed our good bilateral relations, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, peace and security, and climate change. I wish Mozambique the best of luck for its membership of the UN Security Council. pic.twitter.com/8ZGYqmj7LB
