Mozambique must stop the 'killings' for 'true reconciliation' - Archbishop of Nampula

The Ministry of Education and Human Development (MINEDH) has decided to introduce metal detectors in the country to prevent students entering examination rooms carrying mobile phones.
The measure has been in force on an experimental basis since Monday, the first day of exams in the city and province of Maputo, and is to be gradually extended to the whole country, according to MINEDH spokesman Ivan Collison, cited by Notícias.
The need arises from the use of mobile phones to receive advice from ‘collaborators’ outside the exam room.
Forty-three of the 50 cases of fraud detected on Monday involved use of a phone. On the second day, the number dropped to 33 cases. From 2014 to 2015, an increase in 55 percent of cases of academic fraud using cell phones was registered at secondary level.
