Prime Minister Adriano Maleiane has urged the Maritime Transport Institute (INTRASMAR) to boost coastal shipping [cabotage] by creating mechanisms that contribute to inducing freight carriers to include this transport mode among the economically viable options.
The challenge was launched in Maputo last Friday during the inauguration of Unaite Mustafa as Chairman of the Board of Directors of INTRASMAR.
Prime Minister Maleiane recalled on the occasion that INTRASMAR was created with the aim of improving the supervision, regulation and inspection of maritime, river and lake transport activities, as well as maritime signalling.
