The National Inspection of Economic Activities (INAE) in Niassa has ordered the closure of two commercial establishments in Lichinga due to the selling of underweight bags of cement.
The INAE found bags of cement weighing between thirty-seven to forty kilograms, against the fifty kilograms stated on the label.
INAE head of operations in Niassa, Zacarias Semente, said that this short-changing had cost consumers an estimated 100,000 meticais.
