Mozambique will celebrate its National Day next Monday (16-06) at Expo Osaka, an event that opened in Kansai, Japan, on April 13.
On the occasion, the country will be in the spotlight to strengthen cooperation relations with Japan, as well as to strengthen ties with other countries and organizations participating in the exhibition.
June 16 was chosen because it marks the 65th anniversary of the Mueda Massacre and is the Day of the African Child.
Celebrations will take place in the space designated National Day Hall – Ray Garden, and will be preceded by visits to the pavilions of Mozambique and Japan and a business forum organized by Mozambique at the Expo Salon, with around two hundred attendees expected, including businesspeople from Mozambique, Japan and other countries.
At the Business Forum, Mozambique will have the opportunity to showcase its economic potential, with a focus on investment and business, tourism, and other sectors that contribute to socio-economic development.
The Business Forum also includes targeted business meetings.
The same day will also witness multidisciplinary cultural activities featuring national artists showcasing Mozambique’s image.
